My Delightful Orphans Christmas

Christmas is over for another year, man the year has gone fast. it feels that it wasn't that long ago that i was only planning this whole big trip, and now ive been gone for over 8 months.

So we had three chrstmas parties at work, each one was progressively better than the last, culmintaing in lots of party games, good ole rocking dancing, office shananigans, and even a passing out, but not before making a few odd confessions and wearing his dinner followed by an expensive taxi ride home, from one of the temps. Way to go Ian. Needless to say Ian did not show up for the last two days of work. I was just glad it was not me, as most of you know ive been there only a few too many times in my day.

The festive spirit continued brightly after my boss officially kicked everyone out of the office half way through our last day, with our orphans chritsmas. It started off with ice skating and dinner in kesington on the 23rd, followed by another big dinner with lots of other fellow aussies on christmas eve before heading back to my friends place in acton and preparing last minute presents and snacks and settling in for a cosy night in freezing london.

Christmas day was a huge success thanks to Michelle and her sister Rachel for cooking up a massive feast of a roasted ham and roasted chicken and lots of exotic vegetable dishes, followed by chirtsmas pudding and brandy custard and chocolate brownies and lots of mulled wine...needless to say the food was endless and we even got our own name placards and silver menus. She went to so much effort, it was the best chritsmas lunch you could have away from home :)

the afternoon was spent chatting, lazing around and watching a variety of movies..and eating more delicious chocolates, as well as opening our secret santa presents and just taking it easy. I scored a lovely scarf/throw over thing from santa, as well as a gorgeous bag and some really sweet odds and ends from both my mum and dad.

unfortunatly for me it wasn't as all chilled out as it sounds because i was going to Italy on boxing day, so spent much unnessecery time that day stressing that i wouldn't make my flight in the morning due to limited public transport, and fighting not think about all the many things that could go wrong on the trip......none of which did of course.

and Italy will be my next post - i did just spend hours writing it all but managed to deleted it somehow god dam!!!!! really annoying i tell you.
