After years of dreaming about it and a few months preparing, I have packed up and left my home in Sydney to begin my farmer adventure. Over the next 12 months or more I will be learning, experiencing, being, doing, eating, breathing and soaking up farm life based in regenerative farming and permaculture principles - so that sometime in the not so far future I will set up my own farming enterprise producing an abundance of awesome, ethical beef, chicken, eggs, pork, raw cream & butter, cheese, lard, sauerkraut, and fresh veggies - full to the seams of nutrition and freshness. First stop, and where I will call home home for the next 3 months is the innovative awesome Milkwood Farm near Mudgee, where in between wwoofing and hanging out in the woodshed, Ill be doing courses in mushroom propagation, natural bee-keeping, organic market gardening and setting up a food forest.
