two months on

Hiya all,

Once again I’m a bit behind, I think that’s just going to be the norm from now on.

So my housemates moved out and a friend from downtown kangaroo valley moved in which is great, and we have a Swiss girl called Marion who is also lovely. Its become a real girls house now, and its feeling very homey. The word is that we are going to decorate it and kit it out with classy IKEA products soon… and some nice arty posters and prints. hence, I’ve really taken a liking too the flat now. And I’ve mastered the buses which makes a hell of a difference!! I can now get myself around everywhere with no hassles……talk about freedom!

On the job front, I am currently the chirpy switchboard operator, come slave labour admin clerk for the Royal British Legion. The pay isn’t anything to write home about, but the people are generally friendly, a lot of old men, but the job is pretty stress free and its in the best part of London, where I can sit outside in St James Park for lunch and can see the London Eye an all the great old London buildings from my patch on the grass. It really makes me feel like I’m living in London!

Other fun and eventful activities that I’ve been doing include the Fruitstock Festival in Regents Park on Saturday was epic. We saw Arrested Development amongst millions of sweaty fans for free and then was able to walk home!!! And that is a rarity in this huge town.

I went to Brighton last weekend for a crazy house party and chill on the beach the following day which was really good, not as sunny as its been but being by the seaside was a good feeling all the same.

Anyway, will right more soon, but must leave the office now, off the movies now

Hi Sophie,

sounds like you are really settling in which is fantastic! it sounds like it has been fairly easy to get a job and everything - very jealous!
it sounds like everyone is heading over there - i think there would be more people over there than still in Canberra - well at least it feels like that sometimes.
who knows, i might head over there myself sometime soon.

take care of yourself and keep us updated here!
