finally another entry of here!!
How are we?
Well switzerland was bloody fantastic. I just loved it there. So pristine and clean and beautiful compared to france. We spent 5 days up in the alps doing lots of walking and adventuring and exploring and I even skydived out over what I would say was the MOST SCENIC vista anyone could possibly skydive over. I feel very lucky.
Now on to my life in london. I have officially been here for a month now and slowly, slowly things are starting to take shape. I am living in Camden, although its a long way from the tube so i will probably move soon i think, and now that i'm getting a feel for the areas that i like i think i would like to live elsewhere anyway!
My housemates are nice. An english brother and sister who are great, but unfortunbatly are moving out soon, and an older south korean/german guy who i get along with, but don't exactly want to become best buddies with i guess....but despite that it is a sweet place to live so far.
On the job front i have tried a vraiety of different roles from selling paintball, which was awful, to admin at a very crazy and chaotic IVF clinic, to a very cushy temping job with the government, which i should never of given up in favour of other options, and which I will hopefully start a similar one on tuesday. Good pay, good hours and in the city. fingers crossed!
The weather has been unbelievably superb most of the time...almost too hot really, but at least it has meant there has been an onslaught of bbqs which i have been invited too, with lots of lager, pims, laughs, good company, and generally good times.
I have also been to kent with family friends, and have been invited on a weekend trip to Wales in 2 weeks time, which if the jobs pans out i will join for sure. I am slowly meeting lots of different friends and people and have even seen the queen once which was by accident really! and i also randomly ran into the boys from uni, who were on route to germany for the world cup, on my first day in london, and so shared a beer with them in a classy american pub. It was really cool to see them, but it did make it feel like we were in Canberra a bit....
I love londons parks, especially hyde park and regents park, and I feel i have conquered the underground, however my skills catching buses has seen me caught in some very scary situations and hence is yet to be desired.
Anwyay, I will try to keep you all posted on whatever else happens a bit more often in the future. I should have a computer soon, and hence it should be a bit easier to do.
Love you all and I hope winter is not too harsh in Oz, as its just so bloody warm over here.
til next time xoxo
